The Knitter - Issue 47 / 2012

The Knitter issue 47 is on sale in shops now, and it’s packed with knitting projects and ideas to get to get excited about!

There are few things more exciting for us than the beginning of a new knitting season; the yarns, the patterns, the colours! Six members of The Knitter team were asked to choose their favourite new Autumn-Winter yarns, to give you a flavour of what’s hitting the shops soon. We had such fun knitting swatches and imagining what we would make!

Our knitting masterclass this issue focuses on the Magic Loop method on p18, and you’ll find the latest blanket square design in our Refuge ‘Bears & Squares’ campaign on p42.

Our editor Juliet Bernard jumped at the chance to try out a knitting machine for this issue. She says: “There is something very satisfying about the speed at which I have been able to create scarves and use up lots of stash for a felting project.” We have a competition to win your own machine on page 82.
