The Knitter - Issue 46 / 2012

Innovative is one of those words that often gets overused, but when our ed Juliet took a look at the wonderful designs in this issue, she commented that there really is no other word that can describe them. Hitomi Shida’s elegant top intricately combines exquisite lace designs, while Annie Modesitt’s arm-warmer is bang on-trend for this summer, to mention but two.

And as for the other designs? Well, this is a great year for Britain, so to celebrate, we have patterns from British talent including Martin Storey, Sasha Kagan, Marie Wallin, Amanda Crawford and our very own Rosee Woodland, to help you fly the flag with your knitting this summer.

Sasha Kagan has used her love of colour to create a classic cotton cardigan with a contemporary twist (pictured on the cover), while Annie Modesitt designed a light, lacy shrug in a fine merino yarn, exclusively for The Knitter - find the pattern on p35.
